When I asked local jazz and folk musician Vince Brown if he would be interested in getting wound up in this mess, he enthusiastically responded that he and his partner Monica did a few Carter tunes, and that “Gold Watch and Chain” was one of their favorites. Later that week, I got on my bike to go lake swimming and felt the vibration of my pay-as-you-go telephone in my pocket. Vince asked if I could come by his weekly gig at Traditions Café downtown on my way to the lake, and I was ready for action. I walked in and there they were, playing some standards. I sat down with my headphones on, poised, and hit record with my jaw dropped. If you listen closely you'll hear my friend Fajr dropping some dishes into the bus tub.

I joined the fanclub and have been enjoying the random KB albums I'm unfamiliar with (there are a lot LOL) I must say this was a brilliant stand out. These two tracks breathe in a way music always should, relaxed on the edge of my seat Harvey Cliff
